The Media Society has teamed up with CIPR to bring you a battle of giants! Join us in the elegant surroundings of the Foreign Press Association for a witty exchange on what PRs think of journalists and how journalists regard PRs.
Overseeing the fray will be Sue MacGregor, the former much loved presenter of Radio 4’s Today programme, presenter of Sony Award-winning "The Reunion"
The ‘hacks’ panel, assembled by The Media Society will include:
Rosie Millard: For 10 years arts correspondent for BBC News, she now writes the main weekly interview in the Sunday Times News Review.
Roy Greenslade: Former editor of the Daily Mirror, he is Professor of Journalism at City University and a leading media commentator. He regularly ‘blogs’ for The Guardian
Maggie Brown: founding media editor of The Independent, a contributor to media guardian and to a wide range of publications including The Guardian, The Observer and the FT
The ‘flacks’ panel, assembled by CIPR will comprise:
Peter Luff MP: The former MD of Good Relations, Peter is now MP for Mid Worcestershire. He was recently awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the CIPR.
Kevin Taylor: President of the CIPR, he represents CIPR's 9,500 membership countrywide. A director of the CC Group, Kevin is highly regarded in his own right as an international media relations specialist and one of Europe’s best known wireless industry consultants.
Jo Tanner: With her partner, Katie Perrior, Jo established iNHouse PR two years ago. She was instrumental in providing the full PR operation for Boris Johnson’s campaign to become Mayor of London.
