The Media Society and City University present...
Will this be the first new media election?
President Obama does so many things so well that many forget he, along with Howard Dean before him, revolutionised the way in which elections are organised, advertised and debated. Gone are the days when the broadcast and print media old guard had a vice-like grip on election coverage.
On Tuesday 2 March, the BBC's Evan Davis (Dragon’s Den, Today) will ask a panel of experts if the pending Cameron / Brown clash will, instead of its Democrat-centric US predecessor, be the world's first multi-party new media election.
Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm
Venue: City University
Oliver Thompson Hall
Northampton Square
EC1B OHV
Panel: Evan Davis, BBC (Chair); Prof Ivor Gaber, City University London; Matthew Macgregor, Blue State Digital (Obama's social media/web advisors); Nick Robinson (BBC Political Editor); David-John (DJ) Collins (Google / Youtube).
