John Ryley started as a radio journalist in 1985 at Invicta FM in Kent, moving to the BBC in 1987 as a news trainee with Jeremy Vine. In late 1989 he worked as a producer on the BBC Nine O'Clock News.
From there he moved to ITN working until 1992 as a news producer for ITV News at Ten, when he became a programme editor.
Then from 1995 initially as an Executive Producer at Sky News, moving via Executive Editor to become Head of Sky News in 2006.
He will be in conversation with Stewart Purvis CBE, British broadcaster, former Chief Executive and Editor-in-Chief of ITN.
