EVENT HORIZON

25/05/2010

With summer looming overhead, the Media Society looks ahead to the cool excitement of our autumn events programme.

Director and food writer Michael Winner kicks things off, headlining a networking event at the Foreign Press Association's new digs on Northumberland Avenue on 7 September.

Expecting a spillover turnout, we bring members and guests another networking event at the FPA
with Newspaper magnate Sly Bailey on 12 September.

October sees Peter York chair a discussion on 'False News' with BBC College of Journalism at the Council Chamber Broadcasting House.

We follow up our hugely successful Stephenson Harwood superinjunction debate with ‘Lawyers or Liars: the image problems of the world's second oldest profession’ on 12 November.

And last but not least, Phil Harding chairs ‘Huff and puff will not bring the pay walls down’ in early December.
