THE MEDIA SOCIETY UNVEILS BLOGSPOT

16/02/2010

In a recent article, the Guardian PDA Digital Content Blog cites social networking as an important tool for journalists. Seeing that we at the Media Society are suckers for both journalism and anything vaguely analytic – especially shiny pie charts and online opinion polls – we figured we would start making our own news. Hence, we have decided to trade in our e-newsletter for our very own blog – the medium which coincidentally 89% of the hack public utilise – boasting a keenly scientific sounding moniker, Proof.

While our website will continue to be the epicentre of our activities, Proof will serve as our interactive virtual forum.

For the uninitiated, impressionistic or intuitive soul apprehensive at the thought of being thrust headlong into such a cold new world, help is at hand.  If you would like to retain your very human autonomy, simply stop by the blog to get a taste of the diverse array of media on offer.

Alternatively, members are invited to enter into post-Event debates by posting comments or discussion questions.  To do so, visit Proof and click the link labeled sign in.  If you already have a Google account, simply sign in and add your comments by clicking the post comment button. If you do not have a Google account, you may either create a new Google account or sign in using your AIM, Yahoo, Netlog or OpenID username and password.
