Who we are

We aim to provoke, inspire, surprise, educate and entertain. Come to one of our events to find out who we are and what we’re all about.

We’re a charity, proud of our diverse membership and the work we do to help student journalists. Find out more about what we do.

Journalists are a significant part of our membership. But we also have members who are lawyers, academics, students, PR professionals, business people, producers and consultants.

The thing that unites us all is a shared enthusiasm for important issues in the media, and the love of good conversation and a drink with people from all parts of the industry.

There are lots of benefits in being a member. Find out what they are here.

We play a leading role in the wider debate about a variety of media issues that matter both to our members and to society at large. We believe in freedom of expression and the highest standards of journalism.
