In our next '1 on1' event, talking to familiar media people about their lives and careers.
Ritula Shah, presenter of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The World Tonight’, will be talking to Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, Independent columnist and controversial TV commentator,
They will talk about their pioneering experiences in ‘Mainstream Media’ over the decades, and the roadblocks and achievements in their careers.
They’ll be discussing what’s changed and what hasn’t, and the prospects for today’s Ritulas and Yasmins.
This event was originally due to be held on the 4th August - but it has been re-scheduled for WEDNESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER.

Entry tickets are £10 each which helps cover our costs.
We will be making a number of free tickets available for students and anyone currently un-waged.
The Media Society is a volunteer run Charity committed to open access for all our Media themed events.
