Join us at The Conduit in Covent Garden for a fascinating debate on how the media covers climate change.
Climate change is arguably the biggest crisis of our time. So, should the media be treating it differently?
Despite 80% of UK citizens expressing concern about climate change, many argue that the main media organisations in the UK downplay the issue, and that climate coverage in the media is often inconsistent or sidelined.
In partnership with The Conduit in Covent Garden, this urgent conversation brings together key voices to unpack the complex relationship between climate and the media. We’ll explore why some major outlets have cut back on dedicated climate reporting, and how misinformation thrives.
And we ask should media organisations just follow what their audiences want, or should they lead the way in making climate stories more relevant and prominent?
