Trump v The Media
Online event held via Zoom at 6pm on Tuesday March 25th 2026.
Event Details
It’s been a tumultuous couple of months since President Trump took office and started to reshape the world order.
The media – a long-standing battleground for America’s latest President – is facing tough new challenges.
Since January, his administration has taken action to limit media access - blocking reporters from Oval Office events, ousting journalists from working at the Pentagon and hitting certain media companies with lawsuits. Critics argue it’s a blatant attempt to control the news agenda.
So, how should the media respond? How will it keep up with his rapid-fire communication, and disregard for the facts? And what will be the wider ramifications for journalism both in the US and the UK?
